Voices United members gathered to celebrate Cinco de Mayo on May 5 with the second edition of our Unsleepover party with a fiesta theme.
The Unsleepover is a party with all the fun of a sleepover, but when it’s over, you go home and sleep in your own bed! Pajamas and loungewear were the default for attendees, and some found fiesta themed items to wear!
In keeping with the theme, we enjoyed a taco bar where everyone attending the party provided an ingredient. Our hostess for the party, Lisa Olson, had the margarita machine running when everyone arrived!
After eating tacos, the attendees could make a craft to take home — tissue paper fiesta flowers —and watch a movie chosen by the group. Everyone enjoyed watching Fools Rush In, a romantic comedy from 1997.
The Unsleepover was great fun for everyone attending and most people stayed until the movie was over!
